Exclusive to the 51st ACM Awards, 16-time ACM Award winner Tim McGraw will perform the national television debut of his new single, “Humble And Kind,” from his latest album, Damn Country Music.
In addition to performing on the 51st ACM Awards, Chris Stapleton leads the ACM nominations with seven nods, including Album of the Year and Male Vocalist of the Year. Thomas Rhett earned three including Album of the Year, and Jason Aldean and Luke Bryan each received two nominations, including nods for ACM Entertainer of the Year.

Continuing the success of his critically-acclaimed album Damn Country Music, three-time Grammy®-winning singer, songwriter, and actor Tim McGraw released the record’s anthemic second single, “Humble And Kind,” today.
Fans will be able to catch an exclusive sneak preview tonight of the track’s music video on Entertainment Tonight. The full video will debut on McGraw’s Facebook page tomorrow at 12pm CST/1pm EST followed by a live chat with McGraw at 8pm CST/9pm EST.
“I felt like it was going to be a special song when we finished it. Then when we mixed it, it just really came alive,” McGraw says of the song. “It’s not about being ‘my’ song or ‘my’ album or ‘my’ piece of music or any of those things. I think it’s just the message that the world needs. The song is so special, we wanted the video to really have a meaning to it and the video to be really universal and worldly and encompass everyone and what the emotion of the song is.”
The “Humble And Kind” music video, directed by Wes Edwards, features scenes from Oprah Winfrey’s groundbreaking documentary “Belief,” which depicts how people with a wide range of beliefs search for deeper meaning and connection with the world around them. The song’s music video marries these universal scenes of faith and life with a dramatic McGraw performance, captured by a one-of-a-kind 360 degree turntable lighting rig which provides a big looping light highlighting the passage of time. The lyrics serve as a poignantly complementary soundtrack to the vivid, emotional storytelling and cinematic visual imagery of the series, which aired on OWN: Oprah Winfrey Network last fall.
Along with the single and video, McGraw will also launch stayhumbleandkind.com, a site that aggregates stories shared with the hashtag #stayhumbleandkind as well as encourages random acts of kindness through a simple tracking program. “We want to celebrate positive stories that embody the lyric and message of the song – from the most simple to the extraordinary,” said McGraw.
The song became an immediate standout on Damn Country Music for fans and critics alike, with TIME Magazine noting that “McGraw shines most brightly when he’s foregrounding his warm, supple voice and keeping the music that surrounds him uncluttered. Perhaps that’s why the album closes with ‘Humble and Kind,’ in which the ‘good life’ means one governed by manners and grace.”

The 2016 Concert for Legends will feature music superstar Tim McGraw. He will play at the newly renovated Tom Benson Hall of Fame Stadium on Friday, Aug. 5 at 8 pm to kick off an exciting weekend in Canton that celebrates the Enshrinement of the Class of 2016.

McGraw, who was named the BDS Most Played Artist of the Decade for all music genres, also is a noted actor who has had roles in many films including the football themed “Friday Night Lights” and “Blind Side.”

The Concert for Legends was added last year to bring added excitement to the spectacular Enshrinement Weekend in Canton that bookends the NFL regular season with the Super Bowl. Aerosmith played to a sold-out crowd in the inaugural Concert for Legends last August.
The Class of 2016 will receive their coveted Gold Jacket at the nationally televised Enshrinees’ Gold Jacket Dinner on Thursday night in front an audience of 4,500 fans. Then, Tom Benson Hall of Fame Stadium will serve as the venue for three major events on successive nights.
McGraw will be the first event inside the renovated stadium that is part of the $500 million Hall of Fame Village project underway on the Hall’s campus. The night following Concert for Legends, the Class of 2016 will be formally enshrined into the Hall. The NFL will kick off its 97th season in the annual NFL/Hall of Fame Game on Sunday, Aug. 7.
